Jazz Loft @ Southampton presents Sinatra tribute concert on November 7

The Jazz Loft @ Southampton Concert Series will continue its fall season on Friday, November 7, with a performance titled “Strictly Sinatra! A Man and His Music” at the Avram Theater at Stony Brook Southampton.

The event will feature vocalist Pete Caldera performing selections from Frank Sinatra’s repertoire. Caldera, known for his work as a reporter for the Bergen Record and USA Today network covering the New York Yankees, is also a former chairman of the New York Chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. He is recognized for his interpretations of Sinatra’s music.

Caldera will be accompanied by The Jazz Loft’s 17-piece big band under the direction of Tom Manuel, founder of The Jazz Loft. The program will include original arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Sy Oliver and others.

General admission tickets are priced at $36. Stony Brook University faculty and staff, alumni and seniors can attend for $33, while SBU students pay $18.

The concert series is organized in collaboration with The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook and curated by Thomas Manuel, who serves as both founder and Endowed Artist in Residence at Stony Brook University. Each performance aims to explore different aspects of jazz music and provide distinct musical experiences.
