Bellport Remebers Coach Chavious With a Win
Bellport held it's home opener this weekend and it was a somber day to begin because they were remembering their fallen coach.
The Phantoms Overwhelm Shoreham-Wading River
The Phantoms went on the road and had an emphatic win this week 41-7. Bayport-Blue Point (3-0) extended its winning streak to 26 straight games, the longest active streak in Suffolk football. The Phantoms have not lost since the fall 2021 Suffolk IV title game, a 26-23 defeat to Shoreham-Wading River on Nov. 19.

Sachem North moved their record to 1-2 with a 31-6 victory against Bay Shore on Saturday. The Flaming Arrows were led by back Lucas Singleton, who scored three rushing touchdowns on the day and had two interceptions.
ESM's New Field
The beautifully constructed field includes a turf surface, a rubberized track and bleachers. This stunning renovation is another completed part of the District's Capital Project which began with the 2022, voter-approved Reimagine ESM Bond. This multipurpose field is now available to be used by our junior high school sports teams.

Tennis For Awareness Is A Huge Success
The event was a tremendous success, raising $940 for the Good Samaritan Hospital Breast Health Center. Teams registered with a $40 entry fee, with all proceeds going directly to breast cancer research. Winners and finalists earned the opportunity to attend the end-of-season Section XI tennis dinner for free.

It might have taken overtime, but in the most exciting game of the weekend in Suffolk county Connetquot beat Sachem North 21-14. Defense was the name of the game as regulation ended with the two teams knotted at 14, but Connetquot pulled away in the extra session with the final, and game deciding TD.

It was Alumni Night for Ward Melville as they took on Sachem East this week and all of the former Ward Melville graduates left happy after a hard fought defensive win.

The Colonials were led by Ja'Quan Thomas who rushed for nearly 150 years and two touchdowns. Wallace, Williams, and Cannet helped push William Floyd's rushing totals to over 200 yards on the ground as the line opened up holes all day for their backs.
