Joey Benedetto rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries to lead host Ward Melville. Benedetto had touchdown runs of 28, 97 and 5 yards. Ward Melville (7-1) rushed for 369 yards on 31 carries. Hudson Philbrick threw a 29-yard TD pass to Jesse Spronck and a 24-yard score to Logan Seta. Mangano Named #1 Recruit

Congratulations to SWR's own 2024 national wrestling champion! Shoreham-Wading River High School freshman wrestler Gavin Mangano earned the national wrestling championship at the National High School Coaches Association Tournament in Virginia Beach, VA this past weekend. He won the 126 lb. title by defeating a competitor, 5-1, in the finals. He finished his freshman season with 51 wins and a New York State championship at 133 lbs. He followed it up going 6-0 at the National Championship and earning this honor. He made his teammates, coaches, school district, community and family

That's the situation for Ward Melville girl's soccer right now.After another undefeated regular season - 14-0-1 - they are 50-0-7 since the 2022 season.
