The William Floyd Board of Education recently recognized members of Century 21 Cor-Ace Realty for their role in organizing the annual William Floyd Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. At the September 10 Board of Education meeting, a plaque was presented to Anthony Alfano, Anthony Coraci, Anthony Liberti, Barbara Liberti, Al Walter, and Gina Walter. The plaque reads: “In grateful appreciation for helping William Floyd students achieve their dreams by providing more than $625,000 in scholarships to deserving graduates over the past 26 years! Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our students and community!”

Board of Education trustees Kevin Meyer, Jennifer Heitman, April Coppola (president), Lorraine Mentz, Robert Taiani (vice president), Angelo Cassarino, and superintendent of schools Kevin Coster were present at the event.

The scholarship fund has been instrumental in assisting many William Floyd graduates in pursuing their post-secondary education goals.
