Cat With One Less Life Survives Wild Wheel Well Ride

Seven week old cat survives wheel well scare | SCPD

A cat stuck in the wheel well of a moving car most definitely used one of its nine lives to survive, along with quick thinking and fast acting Suffolk County Police Officers.

Police were called to the eastbound lane of Sunrise Highway when they were dispatched to help save the stuck feline.

Highway Patrol officers blocked the highway's left lane as Emergency Service officers rescued the cat.

The seven-week-old kitten appears to be in good health, receiving only minor injuries to its tail. The kitten is in the care of animal rescuer John Debacker.
