Dr. Tara Huston concludes term as NESPS president at annual meeting

Tara L. Huston, MD, from Stony Brook Medicine’s Department of Surgery, recently completed her term as president of the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons (NESPS). Her tenure concluded with the society's 41st annual scientific meeting held in Philadelphia, PA, in September. Dr. Huston holds the distinction of being only the second female and the first physician from Stony Brook to lead the NESPS.

The event featured 120 presentations on various advanced topics in plastic surgical science. Among those presenting were several residents and students from Stony Brook who shared their scientific research.

Dr. Huston addressed attendees with a speech titled "Charting the Course," focusing on mentorship and her leadership journey. This speech is available for viewing on YouTube.
