Kevin LaValle launches history video series featuring Davis Meeting House

Town Clerk Kevin LaValle has announced the launch of his “Talking History with the Town Clerk” video series, starting with a tour of the Davis Meeting House in Coram. The video features insights from Town Historian Barbara Russell, researcher Lynne Scofield, and Interim President Suzanne Johnson from the Town of Brookhaven Davis Town Meeting House Historical Society.

Brookhaven Highway Department receives state grant for culvert replacement

Patchogue, NY – The Brookhaven Highway Department has announced the receipt of a $910,000 New York State grant to replace the culvert that carries water from Swan River beneath the Barton Avenue overpass in East Patchogue.

Councilwoman Bonner attends grand opening of Silver Dollar Pottery in Rocky Point

Farmingville, NY - On August 16, Councilwoman Jane Bonner attended the grand opening of Silver Dollar Pottery & Crafts, located at 569 Route 25A in Rocky Point. The owner, Patricia Patten, received a $25,000 Main Street Revitalization Grant from PSEG Long Island to help establish her business. The studio aims to inspire creativity and provide a welcoming environment for artists of all levels. Representatives from PSEG, Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio's office, and Legislator Chad Lennon's office were also present.
